Student Council Elections



Our Dear Students,

Within the scope of the Regulation on Higher Education Institutions Student Councils and Higher Education Institutions National Student Council, Department/Program Student Council elections will be made within our University. Our University's Student Council is determined every two years according to the relevant directive. Elections will be held electronically over the Student Information System (OBIS) to determine the Student Council that will serve at our University in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years.
 
Main Duties of Student Council Members
Their main duties are to ensure that the registered associate and undergraduate candidates of our university are sensitive to national interests in the development of education, health, sports and cultural activities, to communicate the expectations and wishes of the students to the administrative bodies by establishing an effective communication between the administrative bodies of higher education institutions and the students, and to inform the students about the education and training and to ensure their participation in decisions.

About Student Representatives Election
 
Application Process for Department/Program Student Representative Candidacy

1. Click on the student selection section on the Student Information System (OBIS).
2. Select the Student Selection Department/Program Representative Application Form that opens in the student selection panel.
3. On the page that opens, upload the information regarding the Criminal Records and you are not a Political Party Member, which you will obtain from the e-devlet website to the system.
4. Complete your process by confirming the Apply section.
5. Application procedures for the Department/Program Student Representative Candidacy are open between NOVEMBER 12-19, 2021.
6. Application process for Faculty/Vocational School/VSHS Student Representative Candidacy is open between NOVEMBER 03-10, 2021.

Qualifications Required From The Student Representative Candidates Are As Follows:

a) Being a student enrolled in at least the second year of the relevant faculty, college, conservatory or vocational school,
b) Not being a member or an official in political party organs,
c) Not having any criminal record due to disgraceful crimes,
ç) Not to have received any disciplinary punishment other than a warning,
d) Not having frozen the registration at the time of the election,
e) Having a grade point average of 2.75 or higher out of 4 or 70 or higher out of 100,
f) Not being affiliated with terrorist organizations or not having any connection with them.
